na, in den 90ern gab es so noch kein Wimax. Die Frage ist, ob zwei Notebooks mit je einem Wimaxchip (der EEE PC soll wohl einen haben?) miteinernader direkt verbinden können, z.B. um Daten zu tauschen oder ob man dafür eine Firmware entwickeln kann, technisch gesehen. [B.A.T.M.A.N.] Batman-Advanced Kernel land

Hi, I've tested for all the day in OpenWRT linux kernel version 2.6.24.2 the Batman Advanced revision 1075 and I've found a bug (Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00002710). The ping's reciver pc always crash at ping request. It's impossible to see the log file (obviously for the crash). I attach the kernel oops at the email. Regards Paolo

Hi all ! At the same hardware, are yields obtained different, with batmand-0.3 running on Linux kernel 2.6 vs. Linux kernel 2.4 ? TIA.

freifunk-batman is incompatible with batmand 0.3 I tried installing freifunk and the batman 0.3 package from http://downloads.open-mesh.net/batman/stable/wrt-freifunk/batmand_0.3-rv105… (no freifunk batman) on the commandline. Package is installed. I start batmand br0 (which worked quite well in batman 0.2) I can no longer log into the router via ssh or web. Is using the bridge to be avoided in 0.3? Is it because I'm not specifying all interfaces? cheers D Davis

Hello, thanks to Sven Eckelmann we now have Wireshark [1] dissectors available. :) You can use them to analyze B.A.T.M.A.N. traffic in your network, it dissects the protocol information of the incoming packets. Hi, I'm trying to install Batman-Adv Package on OpenWRt but the Makefile doesn't work correctly. It try to download from an incorrect path. I have tried changing the URL Source but I think that I haven't download from the correct source (becouse I have errors in compiling the package after). Someone could tell me the correct URL source? Hi all, I'm new in batman. Recently I have installed batman-0.3 and vis as well, but it seems not detecting the gw. Actually I have two questions: 1- What is the procedure to identify gw? I have initiated the daemon in the node switched into a ethernet like -a 1.2.3.4/16 -g 7 -s 2.3.4.5 Then in other nodes I begin the daemon in second option and always "No gateways in range..." is displayed. 2- How to use the visualization server? Is possible to use the same interface of batman protocol to receive visualization info? or it should be an alias or something like that? As I understood I have to download s3d to display the vis info, is that correct? Sorry for my english and Thanks a lot! Francesc
