would it be possible, that the cherry pal http://cherrypal.com/ has a wireless chip and this Driver pre-installed? that would allow to build a FON-like network, it is a routing mesh network and all cherrypals could connect wireless to each other. https://www.open-mesh.net/batman

i found nothing about wireless, but the unit has usb. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/06/17/cherrypal/
as it is supposed to run debian, batman will run on it without any modifications.

you did not understand the difference between the fon rip off and free meshnetworks.
