[B.A.T.M.A.N.] Texas UML instances and OLSR+BATMAN tests

Hi, I would like to test OLSR and BATMAN on UML instances, since I don't have the hardware to make real tests. Would it be possible to have a copy of the binaries running on the simulator of http://texas.funkfeuer.at/, in order to launch it on my computer? [B.A.T.M.A.N.] securing batman gateway

I am working on a mesh cloud with wep encryption on wireless channel, olsr and openvpn to have a tunnel with gateway. Batman has a tunnel with gateway but is it possible to secure it? In first step only clients with proper credentials can start tunnel and in second step tunnel is crypted.

For what concerns ponte2 on Kamikaze the script crash the kernel: maybe it's due to the dual SSID used by ponte2 when onfigured as repeater AP (Kamikaze doesn't support dual SSID ?). mesh-ponte2 use only one SSID for the VAP bat_AP (VAP acting as batman client works in pseudo-IBSS so no SSID is needed) and maybe it can works on Kamikaze. However I have never tested ponte2 scripts on OpenWRT. -- Antonio

I'm testing BATMAN (batmand_0.2-rv451_mips-kk-elf-32-msb-static) in a mesh composed with Fonera (standard FON firmware 0.7.x) in pseudo IBSS mode: every cient node brings up a bat_AP offering connectivity. It seems working well but... I'm experiencing in a small environment with only 4 Fonera and 1 gateway node. My request is intended to obtain - if possible - a better testbed with your help: if you decide to make a little batman-fonera-mesh-cloud you can download mesh-ponte2 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ponte2/ The testing release in named 1.0.8-step2, in the next days I'll upload 1.0.10 (sure more stable) Thanks for all -- Antonio

Hi, a while ago we startet the vis server project. Its aim is to supply a topology layout of the batman network. To overcome the problem that every node just knows its very own horizon we designed a vis server which collects vis topology messages from every node and generates the well known dot draw output. This output can be used by various programs to render a topology graphic. I just made some screenshots of our network rendered by olsrs3d (see s3d.berlios.de). You can find them here: https://www.open-mesh.net/batman/vis I will update the pictures once more hosts in Berlin have activated that feature and thus are visible on our topology. Regards, Marek

I'm testing batman III 0.2 final on a mesh network with openwrt kamikaze. I have a problem with vis server on a linux machine: vis-0.1 does not work and vis svn version does not compile with batman 0.2. What is my mistake?

hello, i'think about some smal tool ... or batmand have this option to update himself. for example the option batmand -vn, he look every day for a new stable version ... or some seperat tool ... what can update a lot nodes ... to do this bei manual is grrrr .... it's only some idea. so, some other info ... the batman net run here nice ... only the gatway get a lot of cpu work ... sometimes it's grow up to 80% ... but it's working. i'wait for the version what made the routing on layer 2 ... and i'will fast roll out it. so everybudy ... i'hope have a nice weekend. mario

hello, so, we was speak at 20.june about that the tun0 device sometimes crash ... it'is like that ... i'dont know wy ... but i'ts crash ... and the default route is not set. hm ... i'dont know what i'should do ... have a nice day .. mario

hello, so, i'like to say thanks for this night at 20.june in berlin .... it was nice to meet all poeple ... but drive home later ... it'was grrrrr ... i'was so mutch sleeeeeeepyyyy but was come home ok. so ... and here still runing the version 451 and in the moment i'cant found nothing what is going wrong. everybudy, i'hope have a nice weekend ... mario
