If people have to root android, not many people will use BATMAN.
When do you guys think it will be available on off-the-shelf android devices?

When Google stops messing with the kernel, see bug 82
Where do I find bug 82?

I don't think that is true. Our main audience is not mobile phone users. We already have a lot of people using batman, and I don't think that will change due to missing android support.

Maybe when google decides that this would be a good idea to add ibss/mesh support? :)
Cheers, Simon

I would also add that batman-adv in the end is just a kernel module like many others. It's up to the vendor to compile and enable the user to use it.
From our point of view there is not much we can do.
